Public Transport

microbus
If you are in doubt about driving in Baja, there is always the Micro (mee-crow) bus to get you around town. its not recommended for every day use, as its small, crowded and usually full of dirty stinky field workers on their way to or from work. But it works in a pinch. The micro runs everywhere, all over the peninsula, and all around Ensenada, at all times of the day or night. You can pick it up just by standing on the side of any road and holding out your arm when it approaches.
Fares are based on destination and one way only. You just hand the driver money. There is no money machine that eats your cash like on the large buses.

ABC busline
If you need to go further, perhaps to Tijuana, you can take the ABC busline (Autotransporte Baja California) from Ensenada bus terminal on Riveroll and Calle (street) 11. This is a modern and very clean greyhound like passenger bus. IT IS HOWEVER MUCH MUCH NICER. It runs every 1/2 hour from TJ to Ensenada and that trip takes about 1 and a half hours. Fare one way is approximatley 70pesos and they show movies like on a jetplane. For more information on routes and fares visit http://www.abc.com.mx.
