New emergency number for Baja California (Norte) scroll down for Ensenada or Rosarito specific departments…..
In an emergency in Baja CA all you have to do is remember the numbers, dial 0-7-8 and you will connected to the Secretary of Tourism of Baja California ( Norte) with English speaking operators 24 hours a day. They can help with everything form auto accidents to medical emergencies including providing transportation to the border and Baja care will arrange for an ambulance on the north side of the border if necessary.
As far as Baja California Sur, you will still want to dial 0-6-6 to reach emergency services and yes, they too have English speaking operators 24 hours a day.
Here in Punta Banda we have a very small volunteer fire department, but despite its small size, it is LARGE in heart and compassion. I have seen them rush to fire and emergency scenes so fast you couldn’t bat an eye. I am so grateful and glad they are here. Staffed by local volunteers. A friend of mine had brain surgery at Ensenada General, and the Ambulance drivers were incredible; professional, couteous patient, caring. I had not a care in the world when she left. Ensenada General was also beyond my expectations, the care she received there was first class.
