Whenever I go to downtown Ensenada, on a busy cruise day or when there are alot of tourists, I can be sure to hear traveling packs of Mariachi bands touring the sidewalks and serenading the ladies. I happen to adore this music. I mean what better way to get in the Mexican spirit than to hear strains of the old standard “La Cucaracha” bellowing thru the loudspeakers or better yet rising off the strings of a old spanish guitar? I cant think of one. I personally own several wonderful Mariachi CD’s and i wouldnt trade them in for anything. Sit your self down in a old dusty cantina with a margarita and a serape on your table and you’ve got the setting for a new James Robert Waller novel. ( Puerto Vallarta Squeeze, anyone?)
